Nowadays, it is very difficult to imagine effective warehouse management without support from the information system.

Reducing the cost of storage, accelerating processes, elimination of errors and improving customer service are key factors influencing the success of the enterprise.

Companies that want to meet these requirements, must manage inventory, based on accurate and current information on all processes taking place inside warehouse. It becomes obvious, that modern warehouses need WMS (Warehouse Management System) to support a management decision.

In response to the needs, HDF decided to introduce to the Polish market reliable Warehouse Management System. HDF is recognized for delivering automatic identification systems, barcodes and vision systems, the offer includes all devices of Auto ID system and relevant software.

DCI + is a modern information system, which supports the warehouse operations and warehouse management in the company. The system is implemented by our consultants who have many years of experience, in cooperation with our partners from Aimtec company.

DCI+ is an integrated information system, with modular structure. In practice, this means that DCI+ is built with pre-designed and tested modules. Modular construction gives different possibilities of implementation compared to traditional WMS systems. DCI+ consists of 4 independent modules, in such a way that data can be transferred freely between these modules

DCI+ MySite is a main module, it covers logistics processes in a manufacturing or logistics company.
DCI+ MyAutomotive is intended for automotive industry suppliers. It provides different order processing methods that respect specific requirements of vehicle manufacturers.
DCI+ MySupplier ensures that suppliers are effectively involved in the lean replenishment process. This module allows for efficient replenishment of stocks and quick response to changes in suppliers' orders, as a consequence inventory is reduced in the entire supply chain.
DCI+ MySequence is a special module designed for automotive industry suppliers who provide sequential deliveries for OEM final assembly.

Identification of packages based on the individual number

The system is based on clear material (package) identification and the identification of warehouse locations. This allows for quick identification of the packages at different stages in the process and the possibility of blocking the operations in progress. The operations are based on mobile terminals and recorded in the DCI+ database system in real time. They can be exported into the parent system in ant time.

Short and low-cost integration cycle

DCI + in comparison with traditional WMS systems, which are built from the beginning, has different implementation cycle, which is incomparably shorter and cheaper. This is because, system implementation is carried out by the integration of ready-made modules, which are adapted to the company environment and checked. Less time also requires handling system after implementation, its maintenance and extension to other functional modules.

Logistics Execution System

DCI MySite is a robust, process-oriented information system that ensures the support for business logistics operations in company. DCI MySite is main module in the system DCI+, which can be integrated extension of any ERP system, or can be a separate application without a necessity to link it with the host system.

By using barcode technology and RFID, the users are able to trace the flow of goods, because each unit of storage is identified with individual labels (or other indications like: RFID, DPM, etc.). The users have accurate information on the level of stocks. It is thus possible to reduce the level of stocks and the release of capital invested in unexploited stocks.

Supplier Collaboration Portal


Informations

DCI MySupplier is an internet supplier collaboration portal for lean and effective link between customer and suppliers; it forms part of the integrated DCI+ logistics management system.

DCI MySupplier provides a tool for incorporating suppliers to lean manufacturing replenishment with a minimum or zero material stock level and without misunderstandings, without the necessity of phone verification, and based on a simple replenishment principle - in weekly, daily or hourly cycles.

The DCI MySupplier system enables to create requirements for suppliers and for documentation needed for the negotiation and approval process. Added value of the system consists in transferring delivery identification by customer labels to suppliers. In its extended mode, the DCI MySupplier system is a tool for reduction of stock by introducing electronic kanban directly with suppliers or via consignment warehouse.

Specific areas of the MySupplier solution

Consignment
Where it is not possible to introduce electronic kanban directly with suppliers, material stock is reduced (in records and financially) by introducing a consignment warehouse, according to the production plan and the current level of stock. Thanks to his, the users are able to optimize the cost of transport, and keep stock at a minimum safe level.

Returnable Containers
Material transport between supplier and customer often includes returnable containers. Both parties monitor actual balance of returnable containers on the portal, and upon verification they can see the history of container flows.

Customer label printing and shipment notification
Suppliers print out customer labels that identify transport containers. Upon delivery confirmation a notification is sent to customer automatically. The notification and customer labels are used by the customer to receive deliveries quickly and effectively without the need to place internal labels. The risk of incorrect material labelling is hereby minimised.

Electronic kanban
A simple principle of material stock reduction to a minimum is material replenishment to a warehouse adjacent to production area based on production consumption. As a consequence the level of materials in warehouse is closely linked with the production

Integration
If the portal shall play the role of an integrator of manufacturing and logistics processes and supplier processes, its interaction with ERP and logistics systems has to be very tight. The DCI MySupplier portal is integrated, on customer’s premises, with its own ERP system by our consultants

Safety
Communication between supplier and the portal is encrypted (ssl/https). Every supplier is assigned a user profile on the portal. In this profile, users can view their respective data only.

MySequence module



Basic information about DCI MySequence:

DCI MySequence module was designed for suppliers in the automotive industry, who provide the complex components or modules directly on the production line. DCI MySequence is an independent module of the DCI + system, and is able to operate as an independent solution. This module allows you to control and synchronize in real time all orders from customers, the allocation of materials, supplies, assembly of components and finished products with their distribution throughout the entire supply chain. Just-In-Sequence is used in companies, where arrangement of the components and modules in delivery must correspond to the order in which they are to be use on the production line (sequencing). DCI MySequence module manages the flow of material between the receipt, manufacture, assembly and loading of the final product. In this type of management an important role plays time, precision and the ability to respond immediately. DCI MySequence allows to reduce the amount of fixed resources and to improve the quality of logistics services. Efficiency of DCI MySequence module is not only connected to the sequential use of supplies, but also to the ability to predict unexpected situations and the ability to resolve them without affecting the correctness and timeliness of sequential deliveries.

DCI MySequence supports the cancellation of sequential contracts, shortens the time needed to handle the cancellation, allows to print labels in the correct order and to check the validity of the completion of components (by using the radio terminals) before they are sent to the client.

Audi
System DCI+ MySequence process incoming forecasts DELFOR or VDA4905. Perlenkette call-offs in EDIFACT and VDA standard and following LAFES-JIT or A100 (VDA4916) contain reference data. Sequence call-offs are represented by "Perlenkette Abruf" A520 (DELJIT/SYNCRO). These messages contain information of Kenn-nummer, vehicle type, product family, part numbers, assembly line, sequence number for ordered parts according to assembly point F000 6 days before assembly. Next message JIT-Abruf (PAB) is not used for long range sequences and is sent continuously. For claimed or damaged parts supplier receives repeat orders (Nachbestellung - DELJIT/SYNCRO). For assembled cars (supplier's products) supplier receives TSL (VDA4916 or RECADV) and electronic invoice SBI (VDA4908).

BMW
System DCI+ MySequence process incoming forecasts DELFOR followed by call-offs in EDIFACT standard. Parts (assembly modules) are ordered by Daily Package (DELJIT/SYNCRO96ATP). Sequence call-off SWET (DELJIT/SYNCRO97ASA) contains information of production order number, vehicle type, product family, part numbers, assembly line, sequence number for ordered parts. Next message TACHO (GENERAL98ATC) is not used for long range sequences and is sent continuously to inform supplier about actual production status. Information of actually delivery on the way is sent by ASN (VDA4913). For claimed or damaged parts supplier receives repeat orders (Nachbestellung - DELJIT/SYNCRO96ANB). For assembled cars (supplier's products) supplier receives TSL (VDA4916 or RECADV) and electronic invoice SBI (VDA4908).

SAAB
System DCI+ MySequence Process incoming forecasts DELFOR followed by call-offs in EDIFACT standar. Daily Ship Schedule EDI message (DELJIT SH D97.A) plans delivery data for next 15 days. Daily Sequence call-off (DELJIT JS - SYNCRO) is the definitive order 6 days before car assembling. This call-off contains sequence number, car production number, boxes and container numbers). Picklist EDI message (DELJIT PL D97.A) based on provided SYNCRO message is provided by carrier for cross checking of Pick-up process. Receiving advice note message (RECADV D97.A) is the daily report of delivered parts consumption.

MAN
Process incoming forecasts Lieferabruf (VDA4905) and sequence call-offs PAB Abruf (VDA4916) containing information of production order number, vehicle type, product family, part numbers, assembly line, sequence number for ordered parts. Information of actually delivery on the way is sent by ASN (VDA4913). For MAN supplier should print specific delivery note called "Warenbegleitschein".

To design labels DCI+ has special graphical tools

DCI + allows user to trace a detailed history of container-tracking and traceability. The user can trace the origin of each pallet, and determine the origin of each item which is located on logistics unit.

Put away - warehousing operation is visible on the terminal display. The system can also provide information about free location through terminal. The put away operation is carried out by scanning a label on the package, moving to a designated location in the store, and confirmation by scanning of code which is assigned to this place.

In DCI+ the user has the possibility of quality release or quality hold of goods. The quality hold may be conducted separately for each pa or in bulk for the whole lot. All packages, which are under the control are marked as “close”, because of the quality control. In this way, the user can stop all units in one moment- mass suspension, even if they are not located in one place or store. Quality release, selected „hold” packages can be released during quality control. Quality releases can be carried out individually or in bulk.

DCI+ allows any user to configure any individual panel. The view configuration is very simple, the user only moves the names of columns between the windows in the wizard views. Documents can be exported to many commonly used formats: Excel, XML, PDF, CSV, RFT

In the system there is a large selection of defined transaction modules. The user can use any number of these modules and document executed transactions.

The system is able to record information, which must be entered into the system, for each selected product. In addition, DCI+ has special settings for each module and defined the functional buttons.

DCI+ is able to track the circulation of goods, during the different stages of storage. The report can be created, for example, based on selected day.

DCI+ have an option to present the report, which contain all the activities of individual warehouse workers in different days.

The system is able to generate reports, taking into account the principles of FIFO

In DCI+ the user has the ability to create stocks reports, which include: the individual number of product, definition of transaction and description of the transaction.

Program has options to track transactions based on Customer. In the report the user can have information about: number of order, product code, label number, quantity of products, and the total number of products which were shipped to the customer

DCI+ can monitor performance. In the report the user can have information about: planned performance, actual performance, the number of steps in the operation, the maximum and average time of operation and time of one step in the operation. Information is presented in readable form on a screen.

Productivity is clearly visible in the form of histogram.
