The idea of the application is to replace the keys

The first time you start the application, editing fields already contain pre-assigned characters form the extended keyboard (eg „ą” is assigned to „è”, etc.). The user can edit these fields and he can assign individual letters from Polish alphabet to the selected counterpart from extended keyboard. Each character entered from the keyboard is being analyzed by the HDF PL Charset application for mapping. If a character has been assigned to Polish letter - the application automatically converts this symbol into the corresponding letter from Polish alphabet.

The task of the on-screen keyboard is to enter characters by using the stylus. The keyboard has two modes - normal mode corresponding to the basic layout of the keyboard keys and extended mode with the special characters. In HDF PL Charset application, special characters are commonly used to map the Polish characters.

Installing the application

The application is installed by using the installer in the form of file with .cab. extension. After you install the program on the terminal, the shortcuts to the application will appear, in the start menu (Start> Programs> HDF PL Charset) and on the desktop.

Commands:

The commands: "Show" "," Hide ". The "Hide" (available only through the main window in the application) can be used to hide the application window. After its use, the application is minimized to an icon in the system tray. The command "Show" allows you to re-display the main application window. The commands: "Activate", "Deactivate". As in the previous case, there is a link between command "Deactivate" in the main window with the command "Activate" in the menu. This command is used to restore or re-suspension of the application without terminating the entire program. This command is used to stop or to restore operation without terminating the entire program. When the application is inactive (the command "Deactivate"), it is possible to write these characters, which normally would be converted to characters specific to the Polish language. The command: "Apply". This command is used to approve changes made by the user in the editing fields. The command is activated only when there are modifications that have to be saved, i.e. when the user makes changes in the editor. The command: "Undo" This command is used to cancel all the modifications entered by the user, which has not yet been approved - command: "Apply". As in the case of the command: "Apply", the Command: "Undo" is activated automatically, after changes have been made.
