Supports the process of placing finished valves
The system, commissioned by P. Hannifin, streamlines the shipment preparation process for valves manufactured in the factory.
The challenge faced by our developers was primarily to address the problem of occasional incomplete secondary packages, which the application needed to register. In the process, the possibility for error was effectively eliminated; the solution ensures that any secondary package will only contain boxes of a specified product type.Using the micro kiosk, an employee monitors the contents of cardboard boxes coming from the production department and prints an appropriate bulk label – complete or incomplete – depending on the number of valves in the package. The computer system generates reports that give complete control over the number of finished products coming off the production line to be sent on down the supply chain. With the printed label placed on the cardboard box of products it is possible to quickly and automatically identify the contents of a package, without reference to any other logistics documents.
The IT solution implemented contributed to improvements in the final production stage in our client’s Polish plant. Full control over the picking of goods released from the factory was effective in supporting the optimisation of logistics processes for the receipt and delivery of finished products.
The Motorola MK500 is equipped with a touch screen and an omni-directional 1D and 2D barcode scanner, for comfortable and efficient operation by employees.
