What is the main difference in functionality between the Standard and Business versions?
The main difference lies in the advanced features for batch printing, database handling, and cloud functionality, which are exclusively available in the Business version. While both versions offer basic printer support, 114 barcode types, and data import from Excel/text files, only the Business version includes features such as: support for calculations in formatted tables, global numberings (including shared numbering for multiple labels), saving and retrieving labels from the cloud, along with a free 12-month Storage account subscription, saving print information to a database.
What technical support do I receive with each version?
Both versions include 12 months of technical support at no additional cost. Standard: ESSENTIAL package (email, response within 24 hours). Business: PREMIUM package (phone + email, response within 8 hours, extended hours). Only the Business version supports offline license registration — essential for computers without internet access, e.g. on production floors. Details in the comparison table.
Is the Business version necessary if I want to print labels using data from SQL Server or Oracle databases?
No. Both the Standard and Business versions support any database via ODBC (including SQL Server, Oracle, SAP, dBase, and Paradox). Both versions also allow for automatic numbering, date printing, and data retrieval from Excel and text files. The key differences in database handling in the Business version are the additional functions, such as retrieving the number of labels to print directly from the database and saving print information to the database.
Can I handle this on my own without an IT department?
Yes. Some of our clients are small manufacturing companies without an in-house IT team — for example artisan cosmetics makers, apiaries, plant nurseries, or e-commerce shops.
