LOGISTICS LABEL TEMPLATES

Generating barcode logistics labels is certainly made possible by a well-chosen label maker program,
so that design can be easy and accessible to anyone.
Printable label templates have been around for many years, and there are quite a few of them - it happens that larger companies, such as BOSCH,
have their own requirements for creating logistics labels.

However, what if you need to create an advanced label on your own, according to the standards of our client's company? The answer to this question are label templates created specifically for the standards of global companies.

Logistics label template - what is it?

A logistics label template is nothing more than its ready-made design created on the basis of specific guidelines and requirements of an entity, which can be, for example, a larger company or association. You can find free label templates, in which you only need to enter the necessary information, such as the shipper, recipient, or product number.

The most popular industrial and logistics label templates:

GS-1

The most popular logistics label is the GS1, which is a standard label affixed to any logistics item. It has elements such as the Serial Shipping Container Number (SSCC), barcode (EAN, or GS1-128), and the expiration date of the goods.

VDA 4902 V4

An example of the German Automotive Industry Association (VDA) standard is the VDA 4902 shipping label template, which is used in Germany by automotive manufacturers and suppliers. It has a Code 39 barcode, which is additionally signed with an identifier that makes it possible to automatically read the data after scanning all the codes.

FORD GTL

Global Transport Labels, or GTL, are logistics labels used by Ford. There are several types of Ford GTL labels, including Master, Mixed, Mixed Master and Mixed Master Load List. For example, the Ford GTL Master Load Label template is designed to identify and summarize the contents of a multi-pack (bulk package).

AIAG Labels

This is a label design standard created by the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG), a non-profit organization dedicated to publishing automotive industry standards and conducting related training and conferences. Its label templates are used, for example, to identify and track automotive parts.

VOLKSWAGEN GTL

Volkswagen is a company that produces cars that are known all over the world, so they certainly need a label that conforms to its standards. Examples of VW label templates are VW GTL Master Label Homogeneous Load, VW GTL Originalteile, or VW Transport Label.

BOSCH GTL

The standards set by Bosch comply with the VDA recommendation (4994). Bosch labels are used, among other things, in the identification of products and shipping packages. One can distinguish, for example, the BOSCH GTL Deutsch KLT1 label, BOSCH GTL English SLC1 or BOSCH MAT Label 70*48.

Summary

Nowadays, there are very many types of logistics and industrial label templates available on the market, which are established on the basis of the standards present in a particular company. The most popular and probably known to everyone are the labels of the GS1 standard, but in addition to this we meet companies or organizations with their own requirements for the creation of labels. Such companies are, for example, Bosch - a manufacturer of automotive and industrial technology, or AIAG - a non-profit organization improving the quality of the US automotive industry. In order to create a label yourself that meets these standards, you will certainly need a suitable template.
