Marketing Poster Publishing Software - large construction retail client

This dedicated software platform for designing advertising posters was prepared in such a way as to enable the centralised design of product + price posters across all stores, taking into account price variations that may occur depending on the geographical location of individual retail outlets.

Employees responsible for designing promotional materials are able to prepare poster templates using product data from a central database and linked fields. In practice, this means that the employees based at the company’s headquarters, develop price-poster designs for a given product and save it in the system, and the employees of individual stores responsible for poster printing are able a download and adjust them if necessary. To avoid errors resulting from price differences across individual outlets, the poster designs do not include fixed prices but instead feature “combined fields”, in which the system automatically reads data from the store database to update prices locally. Consequently, on the same poster for outlets in Poland for example, a Warsaw store may display different prices for LED light bulbs than a store in Wroclaw.

An online system used by store managers to automatically order the posters from the marketing department complements the solution. The system enables all authorised employees at a given sales outlet to place orders for printing selected posters. The employee ordering the poster opens the system page in the web browser and logs in to their account. Then they selects the type and number of posters needed and send the order to the department responsible for printing posters. Posters are printed locally, which helps to avoid mistakes when distributing posters to individual outlets and costs related to the transport of posters from the location where they are printed to the store. The employee placing the order sees on their device display, an image of the completed poster along with relevant data connected to it. It is done this way, because immediately after the template is opened by the user, the system automatically update the fields with location specific data from the database corresponding to the given store. In this way the employee can be certain that the variables, (e.g. the price or promotion date) displayed on the poster are correct. Orders from the whole store are saved in the system. The person responsible for printing posters can manage orders (e.g. dividing them by the format, delivery date, etc.), which significantly affects the ease and efficiency of the job on the printer’s side.

The solutions we created, simplify and expedite the process of ordering and printing posters, as well as helping to strengthen the brand's image by visually unifying posters in the entire chain of stores.
