Have you come across the acronym ERP and wondered what it actually is?

An ERP system is a solution that will help you manage your business and plan its resources.

Do you want to know yourself what exactly an ERP system is and what it is used for?
If so, read on and find out how it differs from CRM and its benefits for your business.

ERP systems developed by HDF Software.

Our ERP system consists of three modules: CRM, WMS and MES system. This means that from them you will plan resources and manage the warehouse sector (WMS), manufacturing sector (MES), as well as sales, company and customer relations (CRM). Our version of ERP is these three, integrated systems that automate multiple businesses, use a single database and together will make your company's productivity soar.

What makes us different from classic ERP?

In our system, we do not have modules that are responsible for managing Human Resources, Finance and Accounting, but you do have the ability to issue and store VAT, correction and proforma invoices (CRM), production accounting (MES), issue warehouse documents (WMS). However, if you already have a Human Resources, Finance, or Accounting module, you can enrich it with our 3 systems (MES, CRM, WMS), so you will get a powerful ERP system from which you can manage all departments of your company.

All our modules work online, which means you can access them wherever you want, and you only need the Internet and a device with a browser to manage your business. We create custom systems because we believe that in order for automation to make sense, it should be as tailored as possible to the needs of the company it is meant to benefit. Therefore, you can add customized features and modules at any time, such as a quality management system or a truck loading system, and build your customized ERP program yourself.

Benefits of implementing ERP systems.

Multilingualism. - Our systems support Polish and English, but at your request we can enrich them with languages of your choice.

Reduced risk of error. - This is a benefit that comes from process automation, which reinforces the accuracy of the tasks performed by employees, and also supports their control, giving you confidence that all activities have been performed accurately and without delay.

Reporting. - Both CRM, MES and WMS allow you to generate accurate reports with analysis of, for example, sales, errors, orders, or the execution of production activities, so that you always know what is going on in your company, and how you can improve it by learning from them.

Better customer relations. - A CRM system, which is part of ERP systems, allows you to manage your customer relationships and allows you to send them sales quotes, create orders, send emails, schedule appointments, and, if necessary, create notes during business meetings.

What is the difference between an ERP system and a CRM system?

Differences and similarities of CRM and ERP systems.

As you already know, an ERP system is composed of multiple modules that help it manage all sectors of the company, from a single application that uses a single database and collects information from all its subsystems, such as MES, WMS, and CRM, for example. These systems are responsible for production, warehouse, sales, reporting and customer relations areas. In standard ERP systems, you may also come across a finance and accounting module, which allow you to manage the company's financial sector.

CRM, or Customer Relationship Management, is a system that is used to manage customer relationships and company sales. It is also known as a business management program, but it focuses mainly on the sales aspects and maintaining constant contact with customers, as well as controlling their orders. In our CRM you can add contractors, create and send quotes to them, add orders and track their fulfillment, as well as add products, save important business meetings in the calendar, or take notes. You have the ability to issue invoices and stock documents and generate reports, or send messages to colleagues.

ERP, known as Enterprise Resources Planning, is a program that, in addition to being used to control sales, or customer relations, is additionally responsible for all other company departments, such as Warehouse, Production, Accounting, or HR. It is a multi-modular, large system, part of which is CRM, which is responsible for the Sales and Reports department.

The difference, between ERP and CRM, is that ERP aims to manage the entire enterprise and plan its resources, while CRM focuses on controlling its sales and contacts with contractors.

CRM and ERP are similar in that they both aim to support the company's day-to-day processes and rely on automation, which in effect speeds up employee tasks and increases productivity. In both of these software you will find the ability to generate reports that will allow you to draw important conclusions and increase your sales results. You'll also generate VAT invoices or warehouse documents from within each. These are very similar programs, but it is useful to be able to distinguish between them.

ERP - what does it mean?
ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning) system - is a multi-module IT software that aims to precisely manage the entire enterprise. ERP stands for (Enterprise Resource Planning) and refers to the management and control of company resources in many departments of the company, such as production, warehouse, sales, human resources, accounting, finance, logistics, marketing, administration, etc. In a nutshell, an ERP system is a collection of several minor modules or systems, such as MES, WMS, or CRM, which, put together, allow the entire enterprise to be managed from a single program, thanks to the use of a single database.
