ORDER MANAGEMENT

Production management systems can be expanded with additional modules to enhance their capabilities (e.g., Inventory Management, Customers/Suppliers, SAP, Identy, Production Settlement). This document describes the core module characteristics of a production management program.

ORDER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR AGRICULTURAL MACHINERY AND PARTS MANUFACTURERS

An order management system is software that allows you to comprehensively control finished products from the moment an order is generated to the stage of shipping the appropriate products to the customer.

MONITORING THE PRODUCTION PROCESS

The order management program provides comprehensive monitoring of production processes - from the creation of individual components, through precise control of product compliance with the order and their quality, to assigning shipment of those products. It also generates labels with a barcode and a unique serial number for individual parts of agricultural machinery.

QUICK ORDER CREATION

Thanks to the order management system, the process of creating orders for one agricultural machinery and parts manufacturer has become quick and intuitive, saving time and money, and increasing professionalism in customer service. The possibility of errors during shipment of orders to contractors has also been minimized, optimizing company operations and effectively reducing losses associated with product returns. You can find more similar features in our online warehouse program.

READY-MADE LABEL TEMPLATES

A noteworthy solution proposed by HDF Software specialists is the label template management module. It serves to generate and edit label templates defining orders. With it, you can generate appropriate label templates marking individual parts, according to the specific requirements of customers to whom the appropriately labeled goods are shipped. You can also create label templates in our proprietary labeling program – HDF Labels 9.0.

AUTOMATIC SIGN INSERTION INTO LABELS

The order management software also has a useful token management module. After navigating to the appropriate tab, a list of tokens is displayed, which can be used in label templates. This allows for automatic display of selected characters or information from the database in the labels.

REPORTS AND SUMMARIES

Data regarding the order generation process, their verification, and readiness for shipment are continuously transmitted to the 'Reports' module, where all summaries created during product compliance checks are located. The table contains complete data regarding reports: product photo, order number, customer name, order date, production date, shipping date, and control report number, its content, controller name, and other useful product information. You can export each entry to an Excel file or print it directly from the program to create a paper report or for further analysis.

TECHNOLOGIES USED IN THE PROJECT

  • Windows Server 2012 R2
  • Windows SQL Server
  • Zebra ZT410
  • ASP.NET

EFFECT – COST MINIMIZATION, COMPLIANCE CONTROL, AND ERROR ELIMINATION

The order management system also focuses on minimizing costs associated with order fulfillment errors. The "Finished Product Control" module oversees the accuracy of your orders; newly generated orders are directed to it. The user responsible for supervising product compliance with orders can enter data into a selected report, classifying the goods for shipment. Intuitive application color coding highlights products that do not comply with orders in red, allowing for quick verification of any errors and rapid correction. Correctly verified items are automatically directed to the "Orders" tab, where they change color to green and adopt a "ready for shipment" status.
